About Penobscot Cleaning

Penobscot Cleaning Services, Inc. was established in 1976.
We serve all of Penobscot and Hancock counties out of our two locations:
565 Wilson Street Brewer and 211 Bar Harbor Rd, Trenton.
We also offer limited services in parts of Waldo, Washington, Piscataquis and Somerset counties.

Penobscot Cleaning Services, Inc. is an IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) certified firm.
The mission of the IICRC is to serve as an independent, non-profit certification body; to set the high standards of ethics; and to advance communication and technical proficiency within the cleaning and restoration industries. Further, the institute acts as a central conduit in the exchange of information between this industries. It provides approved schools to teach the curriculum for certification. It also works with regulatory bodies, government agencies and consumer groups in establishing fair standards of proficiency in the carpet, upholstery, and restoration industry. Penobscot Cleaning Services, Inc. has technicians certified in the following fields: Carpet Cleaning, Upholstery / Drapery Cleaning, Water and Sewer Damage Restoration, and Fire Damage Restoration. They have earned credits in Practical Psychrometry (The "Art" of Drying).

We are also certified by MICRO (Mold Inspection, Consulting & Remediation Organization) as Certified Mold Inspectors and Certified Mold Remediation Contractors.

We are certified by ProBloodBorne in the OSHA Blood borne Pathogens Standard.

We are licensed by the State of Maine in regards to the application of antimicrobial agents.

Other Associations: NEIRC (New England Institute of Restoration and Cleaning), Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce, Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce, Member of the Maine Indoor Air Quality Council.

Penobscot Cleaning Services, Inc. is also supportive of local community groups such as the Pine Tree Chapter of the American Red Cross, Bangor Daily News Newspapers in Education Program, Pine Tree Camp, Brewer High School Athletic Boosters, Brewer Youth Hockey, Faith in Action, American Lung Association, Bangor/Brewer 4th of July Corporation, Ronald McDonald House of Maine, United Way of Eastern Maine, Bangor Area Homeless Shelter and the American Folk Festival.
